Book a counseling session to explore your problem
All you need to do to begin is sit with us.
Let’s talk.
Counseling
Confida provides individual counseling and couples counseling, which can be done face-to-face in our office (Kuningan area, Jakarta Selatan) or online through video call. Each service is available in both Bahasa Indonesia and English. Attached below are the downloadable details of our counseling services and their rates.
What to Expect
If you have never attended a counseling session before, you may feel a little nervous in anticipating what will happen during the session. This is totally normal. To ease your anxiety, here is a sneak peek on the things that usually happen in counseling.
1. Introduction and a little warming up. We’ll ensure that you’re comfortable before we start and tell you how things will go. This will include confidentiality terms.
2. Discussion about the reason you chose to undergo counseling and what you hope to achieve. If you are facing several problems at once, we’ll need to prioritize.
3. Problem exploration. This is where we dig the root cause of the things that have been bothering you. Depending on the complexity, it may take several sessions.
4. Assessment (when needed). Sometimes we get the information we need just by talking, sometimes we need extra tools to find out more, so we could get a more holistic look on the problem and figure out the best ways to help you.
5. Proposed solution(s). Sometimes the counseling itself is the therapy, but other times you may need different forms of psychotherapy. We’ll discuss the plan first, then you can share your thoughts, ask questions, or reject our suggestions and propose alternative solution(s). Next comes to the execution of the plan. During the process, you may receive “therapy homework”, or the task(s) you take home with you to be reviewed on the next session.
…more or less so! That being said, Confida therapists aren’t exactly the rigid type, so do expect occasional weird questions to pop up in between session (like the name of your dog, the smell of the perfume you like, or the title of the K-drama you’ve been watching recently).
What to Bring
Offline Session
You will only need to bring yourself and an identity card (KTP). When you enter our building, the receptionist will ask you for your identity card, which will be exchanged with an elevator access for you to visit our office floor. Other than that, just bring the personal items that you usually carry in your bag. You don’t have to bring notes, unless you want to.
Online Session
For online sessions, you need to have an electronic device that can be used to make video calls: a laptop, a tablet, or a smartphone, along with their charger. Next, a stable internet connection is needed. Once you’ve prepared these, make sure that you have privacy in your room. Close your doors, have a pair of headset / earphones on. You might also want to have some tissues near you, in case you feel like crying later, but if having tissues nearby would only hamper your freedom to express emotions, feel free to ignore this advice.
That’s it!
